Why Plastazote®?
Plastazote is a latex-free, non-toxic and hypoallergenic foam used for orthotic formation that is free from all residual chemicals—reducing potential for irritation or allergic reaction in your patients. It is a pure closed cell, cross linked polyethylene foam.
It is lightweight and buoyant,
yet durable, offers good thermal insulation and is easy to mold and shape.It’s well-suited for an orthotic top cover, base or lining.
Manufacturing & Converting
We are the preferred fabricator and converter of Plastazote for the Orthotic Industry.
Because we convert Plastazote in-house, we can assure the highest quality
in every sheet, with less chance of defective sheets or waste.
Standard size sheets available in half or full sizes.
We can also produce custom sheets, strips, or laminates in any size to fit your specific needs.

- Firm: 35 Shore A / 4.4 PCF | Half Sheet Size: 30″ x 40″ (White) & 34″ x 34″ (Black)
- X-firm: 45 Shore A / 5.0 PCF | Half Sheet Size: 30″ x 40″ (Available in Silver Only)
- Rigid: 69 Shore A / 7.0 PCF | Half Sheet Size: 25″ x 35″
Plastazote is designed to be heat formed to a positive model or directly to a patient’s foot.
Molding temperature: 275° F for 2–3 minutes.
Tolerances: Durometer ± 5 | Thickness, width & length: ± 10%
